Winter has arrived in the Sierras. Tahoe resorts have reported 6″ – 40″ of new snow this week, with more to come. Vail Resorts, Inc. announced Wednesday that it has agreed to acquire Kirkwood Mountain Resort for $18 million, making it the third Lake Tahoe ski resort to be purchased by Vail.
