The latest storm brought snow levels to 200″ at some resorts, and another 8-14″ is expected this weekend.

Friday: Partly sunny during the day turning to mostly cloudy overnight. Southwest winds of 5-10 mph. Highs in the 30s to near 40, low of 26.

Saturday: Cloudy on Christmas Day with snow beginning around noon. Light accumulations by sunset. Lows in the 20s, highs in the 20s to near 30. West to southwest winds to 20 mph with higher gusts, to 60 mph on the ridges with higher gusts.

Sunday: Snow in the morning with total new accumulations of around 8-14 inches. Temperatures steady in the 20s. Westerly winds to 20 mph, to 45 mph on the ridges, decreasing through the day.

Extended: Great skiing and weather conditions for Monday and Tuesday. Snow and colder temperatures expected Wednesday.

Weekend Travel Weather:
Great road conditions for Friday and Saturday morning. They’ll go downhill Saturday afternoon with snow covered roads expected through Sunday morning. Hopefully Caltrans will have the roads cleaned up by Sunday afternoon.
