Want to work at a ski resort this winter?

Tahoe ski resorts are gearing up for another early season. Each year, the resorts hire thousands of winter sports enthusiasts for jobs ranging from retail sales to ski patrol. Snowfest 2011

North Lake Tahoe will be kicking off the 30th Annual Snowfest this Friday. The week-long event will continue through March 13th. Some of the highlights include: Friday, March 4th, 6:30 p.m. The Opening Ceremonies start at Squaw Valley with a laser show, torchlight parade and fireworks display. Saturday, March 5th: SnowBomb’s Sick & Twisted Freestyle Competition at Alpine Meadows Pros and newbies battle it out in this annual freestyle ski competition for over $10,000 in prizes. Dining in Old Town Truckee

My husband and I recently celebrated our anniversary in Truckee, and wanted to find a nice restaurant to celebrate the occasion. Armed with a bottle of 2001 Caymus Cabernet, we headed to the Cottonwood Restaurant & Bar located in old town Truckee. Cottonwood has a rich history in Tahoe.
