Opening dates for Tahoe resorts

With snow in the forecast today through Saturday, resort openings are right around the corner. Boreal has been open on and off for a couple of weeks, but is currently closed until further notice. Last call

Another season comes to a close this weekend, with all but one resort shutting down as spring sports quickly take over. Expect a light dusting of snow today and sunshine for the weekend. Enjoy closing weekend events Saturday and Sunday at Squaw, Heavenly and Sugar Bowl. Alpine Meadows has always been one of my favorite resorts in Tahoe. For me, it has just the right mix of terrain, amenities, fast lifts, close parking, easy access and customer service. It also had affordable lift ticket prices – until now. Tahoe ski resorts are gearing up for another early season. Each year, the resorts hire thousands of winter sports enthusiasts for jobs ranging from retail sales to ski patrol.
