The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for the Lake Tahoe region. Wind gusts and Heavy snow will blanket the Tahoe area through Monday. Christmas Day is expected to be dry and partly cloudy. 3-5 feet of new snow is expected by Christmas.
Thursday: Cloudy with a chance of snow. Ridge gusts up to 100 mph.
Friday: Snow with daytime highs of 32 to 37 and nighttime lows of 16 to 21. Ridge gusts to 80 mph.
Saturday: Snow with daytime highs of 27 to 32 and nighttime lows of 16 to 21. Ridge gusts to 90 mph.
Sunday: Snow with daytime highs of 25 to 30 and nighttime lows of 13 to 18.
Monday: Mostly cloudy with a chance of snow showers. Daytime highs of 24 to 29 and nighttime lows of 0 to 10.
Christmas Day: Partly cloudy. Daytime highs of 28 to 33 and nighttime lows of 8 to 18.
