The winter snow sports season is coming to an end, and this will be my last post until the snow starts falling again for the 2011/12 season.

It was certainly a season to remember. Sugarbowl reports that as of last Sunday, the season’s accumulated snowfall at Station A was at 501 inches (41.8 feet), and Station B reached 686 inches (57.2 feet). Squaw Valley USA’s season total as of April 26th was a record-breaking 733 inches (61.1 feet) at High Camp. Lets hope the trend continues into next year.

If you’re still in the mood for some spring skiing, the following resorts are open:
Sugarbowl: Open through April 30.
Mt. Rose: Open through May 6
Squaw: Open 7-days through May 8th, Fri-Sun through May 30, plus Monday May 16th for the Amgen Tour and Monday, May 30th for Memorial Day. (Snow permitting)
