January is Learn to Ski & Snowboard Month in Tahoe, and many of the resorts are offering special deals to get you on the slopes. Here is a sampling of the offers available:

Sierra At Tahoe
$35 Learn to Ski/Ride Special
Available for adults and teens 13+ Sunday through Friday (Excluding holiday weekends) throughout the season. Package includes a limited access lift tickets, rental equipment and 2.5 hour first-time lesson. A limited number of packages are available and must be booked online. click here

Boreal
1-2-3 Ride Free Program
This program takes you from beginner to a lifelong skier in one season. The 1st visit you pay $70-$80 for lessons, rental and limited lift ticket; The 2nd and 3rd visit you pay $25-$30 for lessons, rental and limited lift ticket. At the end of the 3rd visit, you receive a free season pass. Valid for ages 4+. Holday rates apply and resistration is required after the first lesson.

Alpine Meadows
Half day, all inclusive beginner packager for $44
Available for the month January (excluding Saturdays and MLK weekend) for ages 13 and older. Package includes a beginner lift ticket, instruction and rental equipment. Reservations are required and must be booked online click here

Sugarbowl
General Admission (GA) days allow skiers and snowboarders ages 13+ to receive free lessons and rentals with the purchase of a lift ticket or season pass. GA days are Monday-Friday, January 3 through March 11 (excluding holiday weekends) and daily after March 14. click here

Mt. Rose
$69-$74 First Timer Package
Group lesson includes all-day beginner lift tickets, rentals and 90-minute lesson. Valid all season. click here

Diamond Peak
$29 Learn to Ski & Ride Weeks
Beginner package is just $29 and includes a group lesson, rental equipment and beginner lift ticket. Lessons start at 10am and 2pm. Not valid in children’s center. Valid January 10-14 & March 7-11. click here
